The Leo Club at Pisgah High School was chartered on November 17th, 1997. Since then, it has grown to include almost 100 students each year. Stephanie Morgan, a teacher at Pisgah HS and a former Leo and a current member of the Canton Lions Club, is their advisor.

The Leo Club is open to students of all grade levels (9-12). The club meets every other Tuesday morning at 7:40.

All members are required to complete 25 hours of community service during the school year, either through club activities, on their own, or in some combination of both.

The club works as a volunteer service organization, serving Pisgah HS, Canton, and Haywood County in a variety of ways.

Examples of Leo Club service projects include:

• - Peer tutoring
• - Working concession stands for JV football and soccer
• - Purchase of iPads for Canton Middle School
• - Aiding Holy Smoke BBQ
• - Breakfast of Champions - a program where high school students go eat breakfast with elementary students once a month
• - Canton Community Kitchen (once a month)
• - Relay for Life
• - Stop Hunger Now
• - Project Unity supporter

In recent years, the Pisgah HS Leo Club has begun sending delegates to the State Convention at Camp Dogwood on Lake Norman. Since 2010, the PHS Leo Club has had at least one member serving as a state officer, including having 2 serve as State Leo President.
